SIIG Launches Long Range HDMI CAT5/6 Extender with IR/RS-232 and Ethernet

Fremont, California (November 21, 2013) SIIG, Inc., a leading manufacturer of IT and AV connectivity solutions, today announces their latest addition to their expanding line of HDMI extenders, the Long Range HDMI Extender over Single Cat5/6 with IR/RS-232 and Ethernet (SIIG part # CE-H21J11-S1).

SIIG’s new long-range HDMI extender utilizes HDBaseT technology to deliver a full high-definition HDMI signal up to 330ft (100m) over a single Cat5/6 cable, making it more cost-effective compared to older extender models using two CAT5/6 cables over a shorter distance. It supports resolutions up to 4K (4096 x 2160), full 3D video, Deep Color and uncompressed 7.1 channel digital audio. The bi-directional IR pass-through and RS-232 communication channel allows remote controllability of the display unit, while the integrated Ethernet port provides network compatibility. In addition it features EDID learning ability to work with most display devices and offers auto equalization to minimize possible image skew or distortion.

The Long Range HDMI Extender over Single Cat5/6 with IR/RS-232 and Ethernet boosts HD signal transmission from an ODD device such as DVD player, Blu-ray Disc player, game console, PC and many more to an HDMI display at a great distance, all while maintaining signal strength and superior video/audio quality.

Other long range extender also available include: the HDMI Extender over Single CAT5e with RS-232 and IR.
