NEWARK, NJ (September 24, 2013) – Panasonic System Communications Company of North America, a leading provider of integrated security and video surveillance solutions, today announced a partnership with Exacq Technologies, a leader in video management system (VMS) software technology used for video surveillance, to power Panasonic’s next generation software-based recording platforms. Integration of Exacq technology into Panasonic’s line of video management solutions will provide Panasonic customers with an expanded offering of powerful surveillance recording and monitoring solutions while delivering broad-based compatibility with third-party security hardware and access control systems.

Video management system software allows users of video surveillance equipment to more efficiently monitor, manage and record IP surveillance video and is becoming a core component of modern video surveillance system deployments. Featuring an intuitive graphical user interface and seamless integration with Panasonic IP surveillance cameras and recorders, Panasonic’s video management platforms enable the deployment of end-to-end video surveillance solutions delivering powerful surveillance operations functionality with pre-engineered reliability.

Exacq’s industry-leading VMS technology enables the creation of powerful open architecture video surveillance management and recording solutions that support both analog and IP cameras from multiple manufacturers. Integration with Exacq’s core software engine will provide improved expandability of Panasonic surveillance systems as well as broader compatibility with third-party hardware and software greatly enhancing Panasonic’s security and video surveillance offering.
