Thinklogical and Mitsubishi have partnered to provide a high security direct fiber optic solution for video walls, the Velocitydvi-3 fiber optic input card. This co-developed input card plugs directly into Mitsubishi Seventy Series DLP® cubes and Seventy Series: Flat monitors, as an optional input board. This eliminates copper-wire cabling between the video source and the display wall and provides for a direct fiber optic connection between the Mitsubishi video wall projection cube, without the need for a fiber-to-DVI receiver. The advantage of this solution is simplicity of installation, eliminating the need for an external receiver, power brick and DVI cable. In addition, since this solution is fiber-based, EMI (which is inherent in copper cabling) is eliminated therefore increasing security. This is a huge benefit for government installations and other applications that require high security and pure high-definition content. The system includes a Thinklogical Velocitydvi 3 Transmitter Module which encodes a DVI input signal into optical information for fiber-optic transmission. The module takes this information and presents it in a parallel format for Mitsubishi's video processor. In addition, this video-only input card is compatible with all other Thinklogical DVI and KVM extenders (from the Velocitydvi and Velocitykvm product lines), as well as all Thinklogical high performance 6.22Gbps KVM and video routers (from the VX router product line).
