ISE Debut: Matrox Premieres Mura IPX DisplayPort 1.2 Capture Cards for 4K60 Video and Graphics-Rich Display Wall Applications

Matrox expands video wall portfolio with DisplayPort-based cards to capture and encode 4K60 streams from any source to any destination—with best-in-class image quality

Montreal — 1 February 2018 —— Matrox® Graphics Inc. added to its award-winning video wall portfolio with the Matrox Mura IPX 4K DisplayPort capture and IP encode/decode cards. The new dual DisplayPort™ 1.2 capture boards feature 4K60 full color support, providing systems integrators and OEMs the ability to seamlessly capture, encode, stream, record, and decode demanding 4K60 content—including fast-moving video content and high-frequency desktop graphics and text. These new Mura IPX boards will make their debut at Integrated Systems Europe 2018 (Matrox stand #11-D120), driving a variety of networked scenarios for today’s most popular video wall applications.

Available in passive and active cooling options, the latest Mura IPX cards feature two full-size DisplayPort 1.2 connectors to natively capture 4K60 baseband sources, while the network connector enables the encoding and decoding of up to two 4Kp60, four 4Kp30, eight 1080p60, sixteen 1080p30, or exponentially more SD streams. System builders now have an easy option to satisfy the increasing requirements of multi-4K60 content—pixel for pixel—and can continue to mix and match from a wide selection of Matrox video wall cards to construct scalable, high-density, low-footprint video walls.

“The new Mura IPX cards further enhance our industry-renowned philosophy, which is to make video wall designs easy with multi-functional, multi-dimensional, single-slot boards,” said Fadhl Al-Bayaty, product manager, Matrox Graphics Inc. “We’re conscious of the challenges that our customers face—including the ever-evolving demands of 4K60 integration—and are committed to equipping OEMs and system integrators with the right building blocks to satisfy any video wall requirement.”
