CHICAGO – May 21, 2008 – Bretford, Inc., supplier of technology and media furniture that improves how people work and learn, today launched the RHOMBII(TM) line of reconfigurable training tables. Created to adapt to the differing needs of higher education and corporate environments, the new tables offer hundreds of setup combinations, along with built-in power/data modules, easy mobility and the ability to nest tightly when stored. Bretford will debut the RHOMBII tables in its Showroom (Suite #330) at Chicago’s Merchandise Mart during the NeoCon World’s Trade Fair 2008, June 9–11.



“Training rooms are used for so many different purposes each day – team discussions, lectures, parent/teacher conferences – but many schools and businesses don’t have the right furniture or the facilities staff to properly configure the space for each meeting,” explained Tad Petrick, director of marketing and product development for Bretford, Inc. “The RHOMBII tables offer the flexibility needed to keep the focus on a productive gathering, not the awkwardness of the room setup.” Petrick added that the new tables integrate with Bretford’s more than 6,500 carts, workstations, mounts and other commercial furniture products for a full environment solution from a single manufacturer.



Perfect for both traditional and contemporary environments, the RHOMBII training tables are universal in nature – they have the ability to be reconfigured to fit the needs of the space, then easily folded and stored out of the way or moved into other locations within a facility. They are available with flip or fixed rectangle tops, ranging from 42–72 inches wide and 24–30 inches deep along with trapezoid or radius end flip or fixed tops that are 24–30 inches in diameter. The tables also come with T-leg or four-leg bases for added flexibility.



Bretford’s RHOMBII training tables incorporate optional UL-approved power and data modules into the work surface for laptops and other technology equipment. Up to eight tables can be daisy chained together and receive power from a standard wall outlet to accommodate both individual and group applications – no hard wiring is necessary. Ganging clips are also available to keep the table configurations steady when used in rows.



When not in use, the flip top tables have a folding work surface and modesty panel that allows them to nest tightly together for storage without the need to remove power and data components. Some of the tables are available with three-inch casters, all four locking, for easy mobility and reconfiguration. They can be purchased with leveling glides for permanent training room, classroom and conference applications. Further, each RHOMBII training table is constructed to meet or exceed the ANSI/BIFMA strength and safety standards to further extended their life and return on investment.



Designed with the Environment in Mind The RHOMBII training tables are in the process of becoming both UL certified and GREENGUARD certified. Both designations will allow architects and designers to specify the tables into applications where LEED credits are applicable and long-term health and safety is of the utmost priority. In addition, they are made from extruded and casted lightweight aluminum and finished in a choice of durable powder paint to withstand wear and tear.
