Tri-mode component cooler is designed to boost existing ventilation for audio and video components. While cooling the hot component below it provides shelf onto which a small heat-sensitive item can be placed. It’s an active heat shield. Easily reconfigured, it can be placed beneath a component with bottom panel vent openings. Third configuration turns it into an effective cooler for small digital media extenders which can fit beneath the Tri-mode.In all configurations the fan operates continuously at a moderate speed generating very little noise. If desired an optional thermal switch accessory can be used to turn the fan on and off as temperature rises and falls.
